It's Begining to Look a Lot Like Christmas Part 1

I pray everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a nice time and were very blessed to spend the holiday with family and good friends. Christmas is in full swing in the Stone household. I thought I would give you a sneak peek of our outside vintage decor.

I love blow molds. I think they evoke a much warmer holiday feel than the modern blow up decorations available a many box stores. Although, I am not sure Jeff and Mary would agree with me. These have all been purchased at antique stores over the years. Many have actually come from camping trips to Branson, MO where antiquing is a favorite past time. Mary, Joesph and baby Jesus are the newest coming from my mother-in-law. I need to research some information on how to tell the actual age of these plastic beauties. Maybe I can find something to add to Christmas part 2. Let me know what you think!

  1. Especially love the snowman. And I have to agree that these are far better than the blowups, that use far too many resources from start right thru use to be made and function. Much better to reuse something with nostalgia and that won't be relegated to the rubbish when it springs a leak or gets moldy in storage over the rest of the year. Kudos to you!
